A warm hello all dear Londoners,

I've started to serve in London with my company IMAGO for about 3 years. I bring together my professional experience of more than 16 years in this market, which is completely new for me. I must admit, this market is much more saturated and much more competitive.

In this first blog post, I will tell you briefly about myself. In my next articles, I will discuss the changing dynamics of the industry, the background of our profession, and the equipment and usage features that I am almost obsessed with.

I would like to introduce myself briefly.

This is Tunc. I was born and raised in Istanbul. I graduated from the Department of Environmental Engineering, but my passion for photography caused me to push my engineering career aside. I continued my education by taking design courses.

I started my photography career by shooting for magazines. I improved my skills while taking photos for magazines in different categories. I shot for magazines such as Elle, Elle Decor, Formsante, Homes & Gardens, Gusto, Taste, Maison Francois.

By adding cinematography and videography to my skills, I shifted my career to the advertising industry. I shot commercials for global advertising agencies of brands such as Audi, Zipcar, Caterpiller, Petronas, Mobil, Beko, Grundig, OralB, Absolut, Jim Beam, La Vache Qui Rit.

In order to prove myself in a larger market, I moved to London with my wife in May 2021 and opened a branch of my company here. I started to provide services mainly in the fields of food and product photography in London.

When I'm not glued to my camera or computer, you'll find me playing and listening to 80's hard rock music, or snowboarding in the winter.

“I believe in being multidisciplinary. I think engineering, design and photography have similar approaches. The basis of all of them lies in solving a problem and realizing it in a more aesthetic and functional way. As a photographer with an engineer approach, I think we are inspired by the problems in life.”

For now, let this article be an introduction. In my next article, I will be telling you about London's stance in the visual production market and the different approaches I have observed.
